U-M approves living-learning hall for North Quad

A new $137 million residence hall and academic complex was approved Wednesday by the University of Michigan Board of Regents. The living hall will feature innovative communications technology as well as 500 student beds arranged in suites. It will be the first new residential building built by the university since 1967. It is part of a 10-year, $280 million revamping of the university's dorms.
